Helena, MT – Washington insider, Montana outsider Tim Sheehy has faced a brutal week of bad press since he was caught on tape calling for the “pure privatization” of the U.S. health care system. Sheehy’s plan would raise costs and dismantle Medicare for Montana’s seniors, shutter rural hospitals, repeal the Affordable Care Act, end protections for those with pre-existing conditions, and empower big insurance companies to set the rules.

WHAT MONTANANS ARE WATCHING

BUT THAT’S NOT ALL…

The day after Sheehy’s “pure privatization” comments became public, he held a DC fundraiser led by several current and former lobbyists for health insurance companies.

The Montana Free Press shed light on Sheehy’s wealthy childhood and his exorbitant net worth – his salary alone is 96 times greater than the average Montanans’.

And, after Sheehy spent months campaigning about how he “bootstrapped” his company, Bridger Aerospace, building it “from scratch” without “freebies,” new reporting revealed that he was given at least $600,000 in startup money from his dad and brother. He also relied on his brother’s Wall Street connections to get Bridger Aerospace’s first government contract.

AND THEN CAME THE INFIGHTING

The slew of negative stories seems to have put the NRSC on the defensive, as they released a baffling statement attacking Matt Rosendale.

This decision prompted Rosendale to tease his own campaign by releasing a video that lambasted Mitch McConnell for his “attempt to select our next senator,” and slammed Sheehy because he “profited off of Biden’s Green New Deal, and has already spent more time meeting with lobbyists in Washington than visiting with Montanans.”
