First Central Committee in Sheridan Since 2010

Helena, MT – Earlier this month, the Montana Democratic Party officially welcomed Sheridan County’s newly-formed Democratic Central Committee. Established for the first time since 2010, the Sheridan County DemocraticCentral Committee will continue to expand their membership, register new voters and engage in organizing their communities to get Democrats elected up and down the ballot.

In announcing their establishment, the Sheridan County Central Committee released the following statement: “Over the past six years it has become apparent that the Republican Party is out to rule us and take away our freedoms rather than govern with us. This has many of us alarmed and motivated to take action. We’re forming the Sheridan County Democratic Central Committee in order for our voice to be heard above the din of the extremists. We are hopeful that the decline of public civility and threat to our democracy that has occurred can be reversed. We are anxious to give it a good Montana try.”

“Montanans across the state are organizing their communities to get Democrats elected,”
says Sheila Hogan, executive director of the Montana Democratic Party. “The work for 2024 starts now, and it starts with Democrats in every corner of the state organizing their local communities. The Montana Democratic Party will continue to expand our county committee presence.”
