Helena, MT – The Montana Democratic Party announced today Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear will deliver the keynote address for the Mansfield Metcalf Dinner on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024.

“We are thrilled to host Governor Beshear, ” said Montana Democratic Party Executive Director Sheila Hogan. “Just like Montana’s own Senator Jon Tester, Governor Beshear has never stopped fighting for working families and stays true to his roots.”

Andy Beshear is a born-and-raised Kentuckian. Before he was elected Governor in 2019, Andy served as the state’s Attorney General since 2015, working as a lawyer on behalf of the government for the people of Kentucky. As Governor, Andy has taken decisive action to support fellow Kentuckians and move the commonwealth forward, including supporting public education, expanding health-care access for 100,000 Kentuckians, prioritizing projects to create good-paying jobs, and more.

In November, Beshear won reelection by five points in a state Donald Trump carried by 26 points.

The Mansfield Metcalf Celebration is the Montana Democratic Party’s biggest event of the year. Past speakers have included then-Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Mike Kelly, and DNC Chair Jamie Harrison. The event will take place in Helena at the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds beginning at 5:30 PM.
