Helena, MT – Montana’s congressional delegation has been on recess for nearly a month, yet none of our Republican leaders have held a single public town hall to hear directly from their constituents. The delegation is scheduled to return to Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

Each August, members of Congress traditionally return home to meet with the people they represent, hosting town halls, office hours, and community events. This summer, Senator Daines, Senator Sheehy, Congressman Ryan Zinke, and Congressman Troy Downing have remained out of sight.

“Montana’s all-Republican delegation has been completely MIA for weeks,” said Justin Ailport, Interim Executive Director of the Montana Democratic Party. “Montanans deserve transparency and open conversations with their elected leaders. Our congressional delegation must be held accountable and asked why they refuse to hold a public meeting at home.”
