Helena, MT– The Montana Democratic Party released the following statement in honor and celebration of Juneteenth:

“Today, the Montana Democratic Party proudly joins the country in recognizing and celebrating the Juneteenth holiday. MDP honors the history of Juneteenth as a symbol of the conclusion of the Civil War and the end of slavery in the United States. We recognize this day of reflection and celebration as we continue to fight for equal rights and our freedoms in this country.”
