Montana is on the move.

With the leadership of Senator Max Baucus, Governor Brian Schweitzer, Senator Jon Tester and all of our Democratic elected officials, we are indeed living in an exciting time for Democrats in Montana. 

This year Democrats secured permanent property tax relief for working families ; created better-paying jobs; provided affordable, quality healthcare, and made public school classrooms and affordable higher education a top priority.  We delivered a sustainable state budget with a strong ending-fund balance – all without raising taxes one dime. Hats off to all our elected Democrats for a job well done for Montana.

Montana Democrats are eager and ready to continue the progress for the people of our state, and we are gearing up for the important 2008 elections.  We hope you will join us for the Montana Democratic Party’s 2007 Officers Convention, August 3rd and 4th in Helena. 

We will elect a Chair, Vice-Chair and members of the Party’s Executive Board, and celebrate our victories while preparing for 2008 and beyond.   Democratic Party officers will have critical work ahead, as well as unprecedented opportunities to re-elect Senator Max Baucus and Governor Brian Schweitzer, to defeat Dennis Rehberg and Brad Johnson, and to elect solid majorities to the Montana House and Senate.

5-7 p.m. Official Delegates to the Convention are invited to a Delegate Reception at the Governor’s Residence with Governor Brian Schweitzer

8:30—9:30 am County Chairs Association Meeting

9:30—9:45 am Coffee Break

10 am— Opening of Officers Convention Senator Jon Tester

Chair & Vice-Chair Elections

12—1 pm Lunch with Senator Max Baucus

1:05—2:00 pm Executive Board Elections

2:00—2:15 pm Break

2:15 - 4:45 Elections Continue

4:45 pm Public Cocktail Reception—Colonial Hotel
