Swank Enterprise Bailout Stopped – Taxpayers keep $600,000 in the Bank
Governor Brian Schweitzer announced on December 14 that a $600,000 tax-dollar bailout from Senator Gregory Barkus and Senate Republicans to Swank Enterprises will not be given to the company, rather kept in the state coffers.
“Just like Montana families have to make decisions about finances in these times, so does state government,” said Governor Brian Schweitzer. “We will continue to be accountable for every dollar.”
