Helena, Mont.--Ted Dick, executive director of the Montana Democratic Party, released the following statement in response to the U.S. House's vote to repeal the health insurance reform law:
"Instead of creating jobs and cutting spending, Dennis Rehberg and his party bosses today voted to increase our deficit by a trillion dollars over the next decade, destroy jobs, and give our health care decisions back to big health insurance companies. RehbergCare also allows big insurance companies to kick off folks who get sick or have pre-existing conditions, and it eliminates more than $460 billion in tax cuts--including cuts that have already begun to take effect for 26,000 eligible businesses in Montana."
Dick noted that despite today's vote, Rep. Rehberg still refuses to give up his taxpayer-funded health care plan.
