Rehberg votes against $6 billion in spending cuts
Helena, MT -- Ted Dick, the executive Director of the Montana Democratic Party, released the following statement after Congressman Dennis Rehberg voted against a bipartisan House measure that cut $6 billion in spending:
“Today Congressman Rehberg is scrambling to explain why he voted against $6 billion in bipartisan spending cuts, even though he wants Montanans to believe he is for spending cuts. Congressman Rehberg can’t cast one vote without first licking his finger and sticking it in the wind. Too bad he can’t even tell which direction the wind is blowing. Maybe that’s why he’s been unable to explain to Montanans why he took an axe to Montana’s important community health centers, why he doesn’t support health care for women or asbestos victims in Libby, and why he’s against funding Pell Grants that create jobs.”
