Senate Candidate Olszewski’s Anti-Choice Bill Rightly Vetoed by Gov. Bullock
Helena – Earlier this week, Gov. Steve Bullock vetoed a bill that would have banned late-term abortions by requiring doctors to try save a fetus.
The dangerous piece of legislation was written by State Sen. Al Olszewski, who is running for Senate in 2018.
“Women should be able to make their own personal healthcare decisions, and politicians like Dr. Olszewski should stay out of those decisions,” said Chris Meagher, spokesman for the Montana Democratic Party. “The governor was right to veto this dangerous piece of legislation from Dr. Olszewski, whose anti-woman record hurts Montana families.”
