Out of Touch Greg Gianforte Supports D.C. Health Care Bill
HELENA -- New Jersey multi-millionaire Greg Gianforte is sticking with D.C. insider donors to support a health care bill that will raise premiums on everyday Montanans.
According to MTN News, Gianforte still supports the bill, even as Montana Republicans, including Senator Steve Daines express opposition to the bill.
"Greg Gianforte wants Montanans to pay more for their health care just so he can get a tax break. That's not just out of touch, that's delusional," said Kristen Cates, spokesperson for the Montana Democratic Party. "Montanans can't afford Greg Gianforte's health care plan and we can't afford to send him to Congress."
The D.C. health care bill will raise premiums on Montanans by $306 every month and force those in their 50s and 60s to pay premiums five times higher than younger Americans. The bill also cuts Medicare.
