Now Distributing Campaign Literature, Fagg Continues Shadow Campaign for Senate

Helena – Last week, Russell Fagg, a sitting judge, continued his shadow campaign for Senate by sending an email offering campaign-style literature to hand out at county fairs and other events.
In his email, Fagg also thanks recipients for the work being done “to advance conservative ideas.” Definitely sounds like something a sitting judge – who isn’t supposed to allow social, political, financial or other relationships influence his conduct or judgment – should be saying publicly.
But that’s par for the course with Fagg, who has a website with policy statements, is secretly raising money through his website, and is throwing jabs at other candidates in news stories. And now he is distributing campaign literature.

“If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it’s probably a duck,” said Chris Meagher, spokesman for the Montana Democratic Party. “Fagg can call it whatever he wants, but his actions clearly show he is conducting a shadow campaign for Senate. It’s time for Fagg to just own up to what he’s doing – secretly raising money so he can run for United States Senate.”
