Montana Republicans pick New Jersey politician as nominee -- again
HELENA -- Tonight members of the Montana GOP once again selected out-of-touch and out-of-step New Jersey multimillionaire Greg Gianforte to represent their party, and once again, they will lose.
Montanans said “no” to Gianforte in November as he spent $6 million of his own money to buy the governor's office and will reject him again.
“Montana’s U.S. House seat is not a consolation prize,” said Nancy Keenan, executive director of the Montana Democratic Party. “Montanans made it clear to New Jersey millionaire Greg Gianforte in November that our state is not for sale. We’re confident they’ll make it clear to him again on May 25.”
Gianforte lost his election bid last year after Montana voters found out about his record of suing the people of Montana to block public stream access, advocating for a statewide sales tax, and his reckless views on Social Security.
