Montana Democrats to GOP: Don't Kill Infrastructure Again

Democrats Are Committed to Creating Good-Paying Jobs and Growing our Economy

HELENA -- Today the Montana Democratic Party called on Republican legislators to stop playing politics and pass an infrastructure bill that creates good-paying Montana jobs and strengthens our economy.

"Montana families have waited too long for infrastructure to pass and can't afford another failure from reckless Republicans that put politics ahead of good-paying jobs," said Nancy Keenan, Executive Director of the Montana Democratic Party. "Democrats remain committed to building Montana and strengthening our economy and encourage Republican legislators to do the same."

In 2015, a bipartisan infrastructure package passed the Montana Senate 47-3. But on the last day of the Legislature, a few irresponsible Republicans in the House put politics ahead of hardworking Montanans and killed infrastructure by one vote.
