Montana Democrats' Statement on Election of Jorge Quintana DNC Hispanic Caucus Vice Chair
Helena —Today, Montana Democratic Party Executive Director Nancy Keenan released the following statement regarding the election of Jorge Quintana, Montana’s Democratic National Committeeman, as Vice Chair of the DNC Hispanic Caucus:
“There is no one better qualified to serve as Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee’s Hispanic Caucus than Jorge. As Montana’s National Committeeman, Jorge has fought hard to make certain that the Democratic Party understands its obligation to stand up for the Hispanic Community and to ensure that Montana values are represented in our Party’s national committee. I know I speak for all Montana Democrats when I say how proud we are of Jorge, and how excited we are to see him excel in his new leadership position.”
Mr. Quintana, a graduate of the University of Montana School of Law, currently works as a staff attorney at Montana’s Department of Health and Human Services. He previously worked as Chief Legal Counsel for former Secretary of State Linda McCullough and served as the Chair of the Lewis and Clark Democratic Central Committee from 2007-2011. He was elected to the Democratic National Committee in 2010. In his new role, he will serve as a leader of the DNC Hispanic Caucus with Illinois State Senator Iris Martinez, who was re-elected Chair.
