Montana Democratic Party Statement on Denise Juneau Filing to Run for U.S. House of Representatives

In response to Denise Juneau filing to run for Montana's lone House of Representatives seat, Jim Larson, Chair of the Montana Democratic Party, released the following statement:

"Montana has a long history of sending trailblazers to Congress. Rankin, Metcalf, Williams. Independent thinkers who always focused on doing what’s best for Montana, instead of what’s best for themselves. And Denise Juneau has spent her entire career doing what’s best for Montana. She’s an accomplished leader, with a strong record of delivering real results and creating new opportunities that have a made a positive impact on our state.

“Ryan Zinke has done nothing in Congress to promote Montana. Instead, he spends his time in Washington promoting himself – launching an absurd bid for Speaker of the House just months after he arrived in Washington, running from one cable news interview to another, and now writing a book about how great he thinks he is. Montana’s lone vote in the US House of Representatives needs to be a leader, not a narcissist.

“This is a going to be a historic election for our state. And I’m proud to join Montanans from all across the state who will come together to elect Denise Juneau to the United States House of Representatives this November."
