Greg Gianforte Supports Health Care Plan to Force Higher Premiums on Older Montanans
HELENA -- New Jersey multi-millionaire Greg Gianforte and his Washington D.C. donors are trying to pass a health care bill that raises premiums on older Montanans.
According to the AARP, the U.S. House's health care bill allows insurers to charge Americans in their 50s and 60s premiums that are five times higher than what younger Americans pay.
"Montanans know a bad deal when they see one and Greg Gianforte's health care plan would devastate older Montanans," said Nancy Keenan, executive director of the Montana Democratic Party. "Older Montanans can't afford to send an out-of-touch multi-millionaire to strike bad deals in Congress."
Gianforte's health care bill would also make drastic cuts to Medicare that one-in-five Montanans rely on.
