Gianforte's D.C. Republicans renew efforts to transfer federal lands
HELENA -- New Jersey multilmillionaire Greg Gianforte and his corrupt Republican allies in Washington D.C. have every intention of transferring and selling off America’s public lands.
Yesterday, Rep. Rob Bishop, R-Utah, announced he wants to set aside $50 million to transfer federal lands back to the states.
Montanans can’t expect Greg Gianforte to stand up to this kind of attack on our public lands in Washington D.C. with his own deplorable record on public lands.
Remember, Gianforte is the guy who:
Left the door open to possibly transferring land in the future.
Sued the people of Montana to block stream access.
Put up “intimidating” signs on his property.
Has given to organizations who support federal land transfers and sales
“Failed gubernatorial candidate Greg Gianforte likes to talk a big game. But talk is cheap,” said Nancy Keenan, executive director of the Montana Democratic Party. “Montanans want someone in Washington D.C. who will protect our public lands and Greg Gianforte can’t be trusted to do that.”
