Congressman Zinke refuses to face Bozeman voters

Oct. 7, 2016

HELENA -- Even though he’s in Bozeman right now, Congressman Ryan Zinke will be a no-show at the Congressional forum in Bozeman on Saturday, proving he’s not willing to face Denise Juneau, who is in a statistical dead heat with him in recent polls, and refuses to answer questions from Bozeman voters.

Juneau and Libertarian candidate Rick Breckenridge will take the stage at the Emerson Center in Bozeman starting at 6:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to arrive by 5:30pm to ensure they get a seat.

As you might recall, the Bozeman Chronicle already called Zinke out for refusing to attend the forum in Bozeman.

“It’s disappointing that the Congressman isn’t willing to face Montana voters, but it’s not surprising given his defenseless record of inaction for Montana,” said Nancy Keenan, executive director of the Montana Democratic Party. “His poll numbers are slipping and he continues to lie about his accomplishments. Perhaps that’s why he’s unwilling to face Denise Juneau -- a candidate with a clear vision to put Montana first.”
