Congressman Zinke chooses partisan politics over Montanans
HELENA – Congressman Ryan Zinke has joined a shockingly short list of Republicans willing to speak at Donald Trump’s Cleveland convention, putting his support for a dangerous politician over Montanans.
Congress began its seven-week recess a day early, and instead of coming home to work with Montanans, Congressman Zinke is headed to Cleveland to campaign with Trump.
“It’s no surprise that Congressman Zinke would rather continue to stump for Trump than come home and work on tough issues facing Montana families,” Montana Democratic Party Executive Director Nancy Keenan said.
Remember, Congressman Zinke has been auditioning for the job of Trump’s vice president. If that doesn’t pan out, he says he’d take a cabinet position rather than doing the job for Montanans he was elected to do.
