WEEKEND RECAP: Daines Attends Super PAC Retreat at Ritzy Resort While Walsh, in Montana, Works to Protect Montana Children & Families

(Helena, MT) – Congressman Steve Daines spent his weekend campaigning with his base: Super PAC donors and lobbyists.

Daines chose to skip Montana and instead participated in a weekend-long retreat to benefit the Heartland Values PAC, which Politico reported was well attended by “a large K street crowd” of lobbyists and DC-insiders. The event took place at the ritzy Greenbrier Resort – “America’s Resort” – in West Virginia.

While Daines spent time hobnobbing with his fellow millionaires, Senator Walsh was here in Montana talking with and listening to his constituents.  On Friday he started in Missoula announcing new legislation to protect children from endangerment. Saturday he attended North American Indian Days on Saturday in Browning. And on Sunday, he toured a domestic violence shelter in Helena.
