The Daines Plan: Protect Millionaires, Corporations that Outsource Jobs
(Helena, Mont.)—As US Senate Candidate Amanda Curtis outlined a new jobs plan today, Congressman Daines continues to support tax breaks for corporations that ship jobs America overseas and tax breaks for millionaires like himself.

Daines’ record speaks for itself when it comes to his favoritism of the wealthy and special interests over working families.  Daines voted to raise taxes on working families by $2,000 while giving himself and his millionaire pals tax breaks. He voted twice to protect tax breaks for companies that outsource American jobs- hurting working families.

His favoritism didn’t start when he was elected to Congress.  Daines pioneered the outsourcing of jobs and helped set up factories in China while his company laid off 4,000 American workers.

“Congressman Daines has repeatedly shown he will do anything to help himself and his corporate buddies at the expense of veterans, seniors, students and Montana working families.  His voting record is a greatest hits album for millionaires and special interests.” said Bryan Watt, spokesperson for the Montana Democratic Party.
Daines’ Greatest Corporate Hits:
Daines Voted Twice to Give Tax Breaks to Companies that Ship Jobs Overseas. 2013 and 2014, Daines voted for the Ryan Budget that would adopt a “territorial” tax system to exempt profits that companies make overseas. Experts say such a move would prompt American firms to avoid taxes by moving operations overseas even faster than they already are.[H Con Res 25, Vote #88, 3/21/13; Billings Gazette4/10/14; Center for Budget and Policy Priorities, 1/31/13; Bipartisan Policy Center, 4/1/14]
