Rehberg caught by national press taking BP oil money on the anniversary of BP oil spill
April 20th was the one year anniversary of the disastrous BP oil spill. While the rest of country reflected on the tragedy in the Gulf, Congressman Dennis Rehberg spent the day taking political contributions from BP executives.
It seems Montana's millionaire Congressman Rehberg--who has already raked in hundreds of thousands of dollars from big oil--is even more out of touch than we thought.
Here's what BP executive and Rehberg donor Chad Calvert had to say about his good friend, as reported by Roll Call:
“[Congressman Rehberg] has always been very active and supportive on our public lands and energy issues. On a personal note, he was one of my bosses when I was executive director of the U.S. House Western Caucus. He is very supportive of oil and gas.”
Maybe that's why BP executive Chad Calvert is very supportive of Montana's millionaire Congressman Rehberg.
