Great Falls Convention: Democrats United for Victory in 2012
Our 2011 Convention was a great success. Democrats from across the state gathered in Great Falls to renew our commitment to responsible leadership. Jon Tester, Max Baucus and Brian Schweitzer all helped rally the troops to victory next year.
If you weren't able to join us, here's a summary from a story in Sunday's Great Falls Tribune:
"Out-of-state interests are going to try to dictate how Montanans think and how they feel about their elected officials, but in the end I think Montanans will make their voice heard. I don't think they can be bought, and I think we'll be just fine, but the fact is it's going to be an incredible election process over the next 14 months," said Sen. Jon Tester
"Voting counts, and organizing and working together really make a difference. These elections are very, very close, and a little bit of extra effort makes a huge, huge difference," said Sen. Max Baucus
"This ain't 2010," Gov. Brian Schweitzer told an ebullient crowd during a lunchtime speech. "We're going to organize. We're going to raise money. We're going to register voters and we're going to get people to the polls."
Party Chair Jim Elliott and Vice Chair Nancy Anderson were both reelected to their leadership positions. Keep checking MontanaDemocrats.org for photos and video from the Convention.
