10 days, 10 ways MT Dems support you: Public lands

With just 10 days left until Election Day, when it comes to getting things done on behalf of all Montanans, the Montana Democrats are hard at work. In case you missed it, here's what we have fought for and will always fight for.

Day 10 -- public lands

Montana Democrats will always work to keep public lands in public hands and have made tremendous gains in pushing back against Republicans who would sell off or transfer our public lands.

  • Gov. Steve Bullock has actively worked to protect our public lands and announced plans this summer to expand public access and preserve our open spaces.

  • State Superintendent and U.S. House Candidate Denise Juneau has been an ardent advocate of public lands as a member of the state land board and has introduced an aggressive plan to push for more public access in Congress.

  • As a member of the land board for the last eight years, Monica Lindeen has fought to preserve and protect public land while also maximizing revenue for Montana schools, to the tune of more than $200 million in oil and gas leases, coal leases and timber sales along with Denise Juneau and Gov. Steve Bullock.

  • Jesse Laslovich, Melissa Romano and Larry Jent are all committed to preserving and protecting public lands while also maximizing revenue for our state’s schools.
