ABCFOX Investigation: "Misleading Statements Made by Gianforte"

Gianforte Caught Misleading Montanans Once Again

HELENA -- Once again, New Jersey multimillionaire Greg Gianforte was caught misleading Montanans. The latest attempt was fact checked by ABCFOX as Gianforte made up the annual cost of the state plane in an interview with an ABCFOX reporter.

According to ABCFOX, their fact checking investigation found "misleading statements made by Greg Gianforte regarding the annual cost of the state airplane."

"Montanans don't trust New Jersey multimillionaire Greg Gianforte," said Jason Pitt, a spokesperson for the Montana Democratic Party. "After suing to eliminate public stream access on his property, he made up an endorsement and a conversation with Facebook executives. Add his fabricated budget math to the list."

Here are many other times Gianforte was caught misleading Montanans:
  • Gianforte falsely claimed he never filed suit against the state of Montana to eliminate a public stream access easement on his property.
  • Gianforte falsely claimed that he was endorsed by the Montana Wood Products Association.
  • Editorial boards across the state slammed Gianforte for misleading Montanans about our country's refugee program.
  • Earlier this year, Facebook disputed Gianforte's claims that they overlooked Montana to build an operations center because of the business equipment tax. In fact, Facebook executives said they never talked to Gianforte.
